Central Region – Dallas, TX
Marcus joined the CGF staff in February of 2007, after playing professional golf for almost nine years. He currently resides in Argyle, TX and serves as the Central Region Director for CGF. Marcus was an honorable mention All-American at the University of Texas and grew significantly in his faith during his college days through his involvement with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and College Golf Fellowship.
After graduating in May of 1998, Marcus played professional golf full-time on various developmental tours. One of the highlights of his career was qualifying for and playing in the PGA Texas Open in San Antonio. While competing, Marcus helped administer Bible studies on the Tightlies Tour, TearDrop Tour, NGA Hooters Tour, Gateway Tour, and Canadian Tour. Marcus has also ministered in various roles with many F.C.A. Junior Golf Camps. Throughout his nine-year professional golf career, God had been preparing Marcus for full-time Christian ministry. In 2007, Marcus’ desire to pursue a career on the PGA Tour was surpassed by his passion to build into young men and help them develop a vibrant faith in Jesus Christ.
Marcus is currently pursuing a Masters of Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary. Marcus has been married to his wife, Robin, since 2001. They have been blessed with two children, a son, Davis Graham Jones born in February of 2005 and a son, Avery Marcus Jones born in January of 2008.
